Since the 2019 vintage, the Hillau and Brana families have been working together. Carolina in the vineyard, Jean in the vat room. The Liberum Pes wine, in French, "franc de pied", is quite exceptional. It is made from 100% tannat and comes from pre-phylloxera vines over 170 years old that survived the devastating insect phylloxera. This wine is both homogeneous and complex with a certain freshness.

Situation
Domaine Etchegaraya is located in the commune of Saint Etienne de Baïgorry. The grape varieties are Cabernet Franc, Tannat and Cabernet Sauvignon. The planted area is 7 hectares, including 55 ares of pre-phylloxera Tannat, giving rise to the “Libérum” vintage.
